The book is entitled ‘Lainnir a’ Bhùirn / The Sparkling Water: Aistidhean air Nua-Litreachas na Gàidhlig / Essays on Modern Gaelic Literature’‏ and will be published by Edinburgh Academic Press in 2011. The article will look at self-translation in the light of Bakhtin’s theory od dialogism.

Zwei Beiträge zu diesem Festival sind unter Mitarbeit von Sollas Translation entstanden.

FILMALBA ist ein Festival gälischer Film und Fernsehproduktionen mit drei Filmabenden und einer Lesung mit Konzert, die alle Aspekte gälischer Kultur zum Thema haben. Wir erwarten Gäste aus Schottland und Deutschland. FILMALBA findet vom 28.11. bis zum 2.12.2009 statt.

Buchpräsentation mit traditioneller Gälischer Musik,
“Der Schädel von Damien Hirst” (An Claigeann aig Damien Hirst)
Vorstellung des ersten zweisprachigen Literatur-projektes in deutscher und schottisch-gälischer Sprache.

Dienstag, 1.12.09, 19.00 Uhr Bonner Kinemathek: WENDEKREIS DES SCHAFS

Ein Dokumentarfilm über Kommen, Gehen und Bleiben auf den Äußeren Hebriden vor der schottischen Küste. Ein Film über das Dasein auf entlegenen Inseln Wind und Wandel auf den Äußeren Hebriden vor der schottischen Nordwestküste. Geschichten vom Leben am Rand, von dem so viele träumen, das sich aber ganz anders anfühlt als im Traum. Eine Hommage an eine Landschaft aus Wind, Wolken, Wasser und Licht.

Der Regisseur Ralf Bücheler wird anwesend sein.
